How we test Navage

  • Suction strength - measured at the nose pillow with an inline pressure meter, repeated five times per session.
  • Saline volume - timed how long a full reservoir takes to flush, compared across SaltPod variants.
  • Pod economics - tracked weekly cost over a 6-month subscription window.
  • Travel friendliness - On the Go kit packed in carry-on for 10 flights, scored on bulk and battery.
  • Daily use diary - 90 days of morning + evening rinses, noting comfort, congestion relief and any issues.

Navage FAQ

What does the Navage do?

Navage is a powered nasal irrigation device. It uses gentle suction to pull sterile saline through one nostril and out the other, removing dust, allergens, mucus and irritants. It is FDA-cleared as an over-the-counter medical device and works without head tilting, the main issue with neti pots.

Is the Navage worth it?

For daily users with allergies, sinus congestion or post-nasal drip, yes. The Navage costs $80-160 upfront plus ~$20/month in SaltPods, which is more than a neti pot, but the powered suction does a more thorough job and removes the head-tilt mess. For occasional once-a-month use, a regular saline rinse bottle is enough.

Is the Navage safe?

Yes when used with sterile SaltPods and clean distilled or boiled water. Never use tap water because of rare amoeba risk. The device is FDA-cleared and has built-in pressure limits to prevent over-suction. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or persistent congestion after several sessions.

What is the difference between Navage Starter and Deluxe Bundle?

Same device, different included pods. Starter Bundle includes 20 SaltPods (about $80). Deluxe Bundle includes 50 SaltPods plus a travel bag (about $150). If you plan to use Navage daily, Deluxe pays for itself in 3-4 months. If occasional, Starter is the better entry point.

Can I use my own saline with Navage?

No. The Navage cartridge is designed specifically for the brand SaltPod size. DIY saline in a regular pod will leak, mis-dose or fail to dissolve. Stick to Navage SaltPods (standard, eucalyptus or alkalol blends).

How often should I clean the Navage?

Rinse the reservoir and nose pillows after every use under warm water. Once a week, run the cleaning cycle with hot water and white vinegar. Replace the nose pillows every 3 months for hygiene and seal integrity.

Does the Navage work for sinus infections?

Navage helps flush mucus and irritants but it is not a treatment for bacterial or viral sinusitis. If you have a sinus infection lasting more than 10 days, with fever or facial pain, see an ENT doctor. Navage can complement medical treatment but does not replace it.
